Limited Product Warranty
CONDITIONS AND TERMS FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE
Halsey Taylor extends the foregoing Limited Warranty which applies only when the water cooler is installed and operated in accordance with the Manufacturer's written installation instructions included with each unit. These water coolers are designed to operate on 20 psi to 105 psi supply line pressure. If inlet pressure is above 105 psi, a water pressure regulator must be installed in the supply line. Any damage caused by reason of connecting this water cooler to supply line pressures lower than 20 psi or higher than 105 psi will not be covered by this warranty. This warranty does not apply to water coolers which, on examination by the Manufacturer or his agent, are found to have been subjected to accident, alteration, abuse, misuse, misapplication, corrosive type atmospheres or other abnormal use. These warranties do not apply if installation is not made within the below prescribed time period or if the water cooler or accessory is replaced to a point other than where it was originally installed. Paint or other appearance imperfections must be noted at the time of installation. Coverage for appearance items does not extend beyond the installation date. All coolers and fountains sold or shipped outside of the United States and Canada have a one year warranty on defective parts only. Halsey Taylor's obligations under this warranty shall be limited to shipping and replacement parts without any obligation for labor or service costs.
FIRST YEAR WARRANTY
Halsey Taylor warrants every water cooler, fountain and accessory to be free from defects in material and factory workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of original installation or 18 months from date of shipment from Halsey Taylor's factory, whichever occurs first. Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part of a water cooler, fountain or accessory which its examination discloses to be defective, caused by our workmanship or material. Halsey Taylor agrees to pay for all reasonable repair charges, both parts and labor, provided the unit is installed in a normal, accessible location.
SECOND THROUGH FIFTH YEAR WARRANTY
This portion of the warranty begins following the expiration of the first year warranty and applies only to the hermetically sealed refrigeration system and not to any other part of the water cooler, fountain or accessory. Packaged water chillers are not subject to the additional four year warranty when used in chilled water commercial/industrial applications other than for potable water. In addition, "HO" Series Outdoor models are limited to only one year of this portion of the warranty for a total of two years. Halsey Taylor's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part of such hermetically sealed refrigeration system which its examination discloses to be defective due to factory workmanship or material. This warranty does not apply if any part of such hermetically sealed refrigeration system has been subjected to any accident, alteration, abuse, misuse or corrosive type atmosphere. Halsey Taylor does not warrant defects due to improper installation, failure to exercise normal maintenance or against the consequences of uses of which the products were not designed. This extended warranty does not provide for payments of labor charges or service calls to make adjustments, clear water stoppages or provide other normal maintenance required to the water cooler or its mechanism.
PERSONS ENTITLED TO BENEFIT OR WARRANTY
This Limited Warranty is applicable only to (i) purchasers who purchase the water cooler for resale in the ordinary course of business and (ii) the first person who purchases the water cooler other than for resale.
The foregoing warranties are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and/or any other type, whether expressed or limited. IN NO EVENT SHALL HALSEY TAYLOR BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES.
